Rachel Leonidas is your not-so-typical girl next door, who grew up in a bustling household with eight
siblings. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Rachel is a proud Haitian-American
whose humbled upbringing instilled the value of education, hard work, gratitude, and charity.
Earning a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Communication and Public Relations, Rachel established
herself as a successful marketing, fundraising, and philanthropic professional within the educational landscape
in Washington, DC.
Despite reaching a certain level of success, she found herself unhappy, unfilled, and constantly spinning away from her most authentic self. Digging deep, Rachel reinvented her life in 2016 and gave birth to the Moving Haiti Forward movement. She has led over nine successful medical service trips to the remote
region of Les Cayes, Haiti.
Seeking to expand her reach beyond Haiti, Rachel journeyed to Southern Africa to learn, grow and serve on the mother continent on issues ranging from food security to advancing girls’ education. Rachel writes, speaks, and trains on the fierce urgency of honoring your boundaries toward purposeful living and forward progress.
Rachel enjoys journaling in nature, traveling, creating and fulfilling bucket list items, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family and close friends.
